How many students does it take to paint a rainbow?

O-Week 2024 was a hit! I am SO delayed in sharing the images from this epic week- we had hundreds of students visit our stall, and help co-create four epic (portable, pop-up) murals! One side was a giant paint-by numbers for those students (and visitors) who needed a little extra guidance, whilst the other side was like a giant colouring in page- a free-for-all colour explosion. The images speak for themselves. If you think this needs to happen in your school/workplace/community centre- hit me up. They are my new favourite activity to do- and they turn out incredibly (not to mention working together towards a common goal of creating something beautiful and fun!)

Collaboration and mural making offer tremendous benefits beyond the immediate creation of art. The success of our recent O-Week 2024 event, where hundreds of students co-created four vibrant murals, highlights the power of these activities. Participants engaged in a giant paint-by-numbers and a free-for-all colouring explosion, leading to an incredible display of creativity and teamwork. This collaborative approach not only enhanced the event's atmosphere but also fostered a strong sense of community among attendees.

In a workplace setting, such mural projects can significantly boost morale and team cohesion by encouraging staff to work together towards a common goal. The shared experience of creating something beautiful and fun can improve communication, strengthen relationships, and enhance overall job satisfaction. To bring this engaging activity to your school, workplace, or community center, contact Gen and Tonic Art to book your own mural-making event. Let's transform your space and elevate team spirit with a collaborative art experience!
