SHEIDOW PARK OSHC
4 day project. October 2024
Returning to one of my favourite schools, Sheidow Park invited me to return to give some life to their OSHC space. Utilised by not only the school care, but also for music lessons, events, and as a school hall, this was an opportunity to inject some life into this space- and it was a hit!

I had the pleasure of completing this long awaited mural (they patiently waited for me to give birth and take time off for mat leave!) at the end of 2024. I was lucky enough to join forces with my siblings who came to assist me on this super fun project, where I got to create one of my signature squiggle waves, in a whole new way!

Working with the fundraising committee, principal, and entire school community the goal was to inject some life into an otherwise cold and bleak courtyard. Bright corners, bold shapes and colours that go BANG! and a handful of nods to the local flora and fauna were thrown in.

After a series of workshops with teachers and students, and lots of butcher paper designs- this school themed mural was created for the loveliest little school in Ottoway.

Working with the principal, we wanted to brighten up this big white wall that faces the road to and from the Mt Lofty Botanical Garden. Funky foliage and wavy backgrounds representing hills and sky- something to stand out from the road.

Anti Bullying mural - The school recieved a grant to complete an anti-bullying mural and they chose the slogan, This palace has no space for bullying".

I approached school after seeing bathrooms when working on a previous project. Worked with the wellbeing leader and student leadership team to co-collaboratively design some fresh bright walls with empowering quotes, to utilise a anti-bullying grant.

Challa Gardens has an amazing collection of mural work by several SA artists. Walls coated in pebble tex were the project to be refreshed, and at the principals request I was able to create some playful floral designs.

One of 4 projects at Stuart Park, this low supporting wall adjacent to the school basketball courts needed a big refresh. Used daily for Move and Groove activities, the school wanted to make the space inviting and playful, and not a dark corner.

"Our school is close to 60 years old and over the years paint has faded with the place feeling a little drab.
The recent murals created by Genevieve have been a welcome change and the brightness makes our school more inviting.
The ‘Move and Groove’ wall has been a particular hit with students seeming more energised when doing their morning exercises.
Working with Genevieve was easy and enjoyable. She took our ideas and put them into beautiful pieces of art.”

A once boring and lifeless sick bay was transformed into a Darwin sunset spectacular for one NT school. Students chose from a selection of mockups, and this was a quick one day project on an indoor, flat wall.

The first senior school to work with G+T, the school wanted to incorporate a design using the school mascots and house colours. In addition, Gen was able to visit with year 11/12 students to run some workshops in relation to mural making/stencil creation.

6 day project. May 2023
Celebrating a 100 Year Anniversary, students and staff raised funds through events and at the Barossa Farmers Markets to fund this colourful mural. Featuring local landmarks such as Big Charlie the gum tree, magpies, the Marne River, and native flowers. Students and staff of this small but mighty school participated and assisted in painting this mural, even going so far as to include their names for posterity into the design.

The second mindfulness pathway for this school. A sister path to the original, the school wanted to incorporate their school values and the values they wish to instil in students, on a calming winding pathway near the entryway to their school.

Bland, dark and frightening bathrooms were given a chance to come back to life, with student chosen doors - from animal print, to faraway landscapes, patterns and plants. 30 doors were completed.
