Welcome to Gen and Tonic Art- Think of it as destiny.

My name is Genevieve, founder, chief creator of rainbows and general perfectly imperfect human of Gen and Tonic. I live in Adelaide, and occasionally find myself painting in some wonderful interstate and one day overseas locations.

Gen + Tonic is a business that was born from me realising it was my job to make myself feel better. And in the process, I realised I can do that for others too, when they need that extra boost. What started as a punny name, turned out to hit the nail on the head. Gen is the human, Tonic is the art. I’m here to help you find your Tonic, and make you feel good along the way.

Gen and Tonic doesn't focus on creating just one thing - but at the moment, painting murals is giving me absolute life. Witnessing the energetic shift that my hands, some paint, and some brushes can make to a once lifeless space blows my mind. I see the impact being a living artist, earning her own money, painting what makes her feel good has on little (and not so little) students in schools. Not only am I here to inject colour, inspiration, hope, courage and delight into humans big and small, but I am here to be an example of what is possible.

When I am not up a ladder, or sitting on the floor surrounded by buckets of paint, I may be found in the depths of one of the following activities:

-learning all about being a new mumma, and loving every second

-creating fun pop-up collaborative murals for clients

-doodling away on my iPad dreaming up my next mockups

-scrolling, downloading and playing with fonts and palettes for logo bundles

-sharing truth-bombs on podcasts

-rewatching television shows for the hundredth time (The Walking Dead, Grace and Frankie, The L Word, One Tree Hill just to name a few)

-going on adventures with the love of my life, fiancee and all around magic baby daddy

-teaching my friends how to change a tyre- you know who you are

-being the worlds best Aunty
